Journeys to Inner Places is the theme for our May show at Illahe Design Studio & Gallery. Our featured artist this month, Melinda Moore Hartman is known for her spectacular photographs which capture serene moments in nature.
“All things are ultimately expressions of light assuming many forms. Light is made of colors. I feel a deep connection with nature, and through light and color seek to express an awareness of nature in a timeless place; yet perceived in the present moment.
This show of beautiful abstract photographs leads the viewer in a journey within themselves, finding something unfamiliar, yet resonating with recognition, in a way like a dream.

Although our eyes may see only a certain range of light wavelengths, and therefore certain colors, the use of digital photography may reveal even more color nuances not readily apparent to the eye when the scene is viewed. I do not add images nor remove any, only the color balance and contrast are adjusted in my photographs such as is done with images printed from negatives.”
All photographs are created on quality paper and use inks that will last for generations. Each image is created and personally printed by the artist.
