Join us for a colorful multi-dimensional show in October, as we feature the works of two distinctive artists, Carole Hayne and Shan Lollis.
Carole Hayne shows her one of a kind hand- built porcelain pieces. Her latest creations of vases and bowls have soft, pale green glazes, in uniquely stylish designs that would enhance most any décor. Carole finds “it very difficult to make the same type of piece for more than a year or two. When the spontaneity wears off, it is time to make something else. Asymmetrical, simple pieces and soft, slightly matte and crystalline glazes are my favorites.”
Shan Lollis: Lady in Red
Shan Lollis believes in using as much pure color as possible, creating a graphic-like quality to her work. View Shan’s latest paintings in acrylic and ink.“This show represents a year of drawing and painting many women who live in the Rogue Valley. I always strive to reduce the human figure to its simplest form by using pure bright color, simple lines, and strong graphic design. Sometimes the paintings suggest a story or location, and other times, the viewer is asked to imagine the setting for himself.”
