Line and Form: A Passion
Dan Welden, Cathy DeForest, and Nancy Bardos bring their passions for line and form to Illahe Studios and Gallery in April.
One passion three ways.
"Ajar" by Dan Welden
Dan Welden, from New York City, is a renowned teacher, painter, author and master printmaker and is the originator of solarplate printmaking in the U.S. Prized by collectors around the world, Welden’s artistry of line and color are showcased in the form of solarplate etchings, intaglio and relief works.
"22 Wings of Song" by Cathy DeForest
Cathy DeForest, photographer, book artist and printmaker enjoys combining text, image and found object. This month we feature her letterpress broadsides of national Poet Laureates, as well as local poets, including poetry by Cathy DeForest and Nancy Bardos.
"Teapot 1" by Nancy Bardos
Nancy Bardos is a photographer and mixed media artist with a special love for the line of repetitive patterns and another devotee of art combining text and image. Her pieces range from realism to the whimsical.
The work of Welden, Bardos and DeForest can be seen at Illahe Studios and Gallery through April 25th and at Gallery DeForest Website
