Second Annual "Artist Books" Exhibit
We are once again celebrating the art of the word during April’s National Poetry Month with an exhibit of uniquely fresh and interesting artist books. This year we have chosen 17 regional and national book artists to show their creations in a varied collection of media.
The following artists will be featured throughout the month: Lewis Anderson, Jeb Barton, Cathleen Casey, Patricia Clark, Charu Colorado, Maritza Davila, Cathy DeForest, Cantrell Maryott Driver, Shoshanah Dubiner, Lois Ericson, Jacqueline Ernst, Michael Holstein, Catherine Nash, Rochelle Newman, Sabina Nies, Roxanne Stout, Terry Turrentine.
We are excited to show the diverse creativity expressed by these 17 book artists! Plan to visit and spend some time browsing these beautiful books, many of which push the boundaries, or should we say "bindings" of what we typically consider a book.
Join us for an Artists’ Reception on First Friday, April 1st, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Recession Candy Company will be on hand with tastes of their hand made toffee and artistic gift boxes just perfect for an Easter basket! Music will be provided by local guitarist, David Kelley. Wine and light appetizers will be served.
